I live the nap life; I wake up twice in a day: 2 am & 5 pm. What I call going to bed more similarly resembles taking a nap. And waking twice in a day is more a nuisance when neither sleep amounts to much. But sleep is something that I haven't been able to figure into my schedule.
I enjoy dinner with my roommates and friends and that often leads late into the evening. And thus my bedtime is 10 pm. I run, bike, ski and generally enjoy spending time outdoors. And so my post-work nap is short to fit daylight hours.
Almost all the bakers here live the nap life. My version might be the most extreme example, but we all typically find comfort in the horizontal after standing all day. The trick is to keep a nap short enough so that you will be able to fall asleep again in three or five hours.
Baking requires adjusting to an almost unimaginable life schedule. I never would have guessed that I would be working hours before the sun, but now I almost can't imagine working along the sun.
